The Embankment Photography at the City Wedding Venue
The Embankment Wedding Photography
The Embankment-Nottingham Wedding Venue is the only Nottingham’s pub currently licensed to formalise marriages and civil partnerships. The Embankment is located a spitting distance from Nottingham City Centre and pretty much next door to the riverbank. Perfect Nottingham wedding venue for city weddings! The Embankment was designed by Albert Nelson Bromley, the architect behind some of the most distinctive Boots pharmacy buildings. The Embankment’s door first opened in 1907 as Boots Store. In 1919 the Boots Social Club was formed on the site. The social club was so popular it soon expanded throughout the building and, following the closure of Boots Store in 1979, took over the whole site. The Embankment has two ceremony rooms; the intimate oak-paneled Jesse Boot room, once the entrepreneur’s private office. It’s a beautiful wood-clad room with a gallery view of the main bar The bigger reception room is The Lord Trent Room, the early 1900s and the former social area of the Embankment. A stunning function room with double height ceilings, elegant arches, and a central dance floor. Embankment Wedding Photography is a true joy. Its location and character provide bot beautiful backdrops for photographs and great relaxed atmosphere for chilled out weddings.
