Claypole Wedding
Rory + Hannah
My August wedding photography had started with the wedding of Rory and Hannah. They got married at Saint Peter’s Church in Claypole with reception at the Old Rectory farm just a few minutes walk from the church. As it is often the case I started the day with some photography during the morning preparations at Hannah’s family home in Newark. Then a short drive took me to the Old Rectory farm in Claypole where Rory and the boys were getting ready. Soon we all found ourselves near the church where guests were greeted by the groom and ushers. It wasn’t long before the bride arrived with her dad. After the great ceremony there was a time for some confetti outside the church. It all happened under umbrellas and I must comment here on weather forecast. I think it was the first time they were so accurate with it. As they had predicted it started raining at 4 pm, exactly when the ceremony ended. However it had not ruined the day and its amazing atmosphere. The Old Rectory farm is Hannah’s aunties’ house. It has some huge beautiful gardens and this is where the wedding marquee was. Every key event happened as planned with the speech, cutting of the cake and the first dance. I always try and stay a little longer after the first dance to capture some evening fun. I have to say the bunch knew how to party and there was no need for asking anybody to come and join dancing. Everybody was on it.
