Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club Wedding photography
Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club Wedding
Back in last month I was photographing a great wedding of Paul and Michelle. They got married at St Peter’s Church in Ruddington, the wedding reception took place at the Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club in Cotgrave. The day started for me at the couple’s house in Clifton, literally two minutes drive from my place. Michelle and her bridesmaids were getting ready there. After some photos of girls getting pampered a short drive took me to Ruddington where I met Paul just before the scheduled ceremony time. Michelle was slightly late for the ceremony and I bet it was probably the longest 40 minutes in Paul’s life. The ceremony itself was great. I had a pleasure to photograph a wedding at this church last year and I really like the architectures there. Straight after the wedding a confetti was thrown and congregation moved to the venue. I was excited about the Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club wedding photography as I am familiar with this place. I love the space and the way it is surrounded by all the greenery. the weather was absolutely fantastic and all together created a great atmosphere for the celebration. Shortly after the arrival to the venue we took a handful of bride and groom portraits in the venue grounds. We took a ride in golf buggies to get to a nice photo spot. As a documentary wedding photographer I aim to capture the essence of the day without interrupting the wedding flow, however I appreciate that bride and groom would like some formal photos taken. On the wedding day we can always dedicate some time for a few bride and groom portraits and some formal group shots. Soon after the formals there was time for speeches and they were awesome. It was probably the best and the most surprising dad’s speech I have ever seen. Michelle’s dad has a great skill of playing the electric guitar. He kept his speech plan all in secret and it was a massive surprise to everyone. The rest of the evening went smooth and shortly after the first dance there was time to go for me. We had a stunning sunset on Paul and Michelle’s wedding day and I decided to spend some time in golf course grounds to photograph the venue.
