Hodsock Priory Wedding Photography
Wedding at Hodsock Priory
I knew that Hodsock Priory wedding photography was going to be great. It was my first wedding at this venue and after a bit of research before hand I couldn’t wait to find myself there. Such a stunning location with some great history behind it.
Robbie and Helen exchanged their rings at The Holly Cross church in Epperstone. It was my second visit to this church, I photographed a wedding there earlier in the wedding season. Helen and her bridesmaids were getting ready literally a minute walk from the church. After photographing some morning preparations at the house I took a very short walk to the church where I met Robbie. Groom and the boys greeted the arriving guests, soon the bride was there too. Helen has prepared a little surprise for Robbie, she had booked a gospel choir for the ceremony. They beautifully sang throughout the wedding service.
After a confetti blast glass of bubbly was poured for Robbie and Helen and they were ready for their journey to the venue in a beautiful vintage wedding car. Hodsock Priory is about forty minutes drive from Epperstone.
Historical countryhouse surrounded by stunning gardens, Hodstock Priory has a lot to offer as a wedding venue. It is set in 800 acres of countryside on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.
Weather was absolutely fantastic on the day and everyone enjoyed their drinks and canapés outside in the gardens. When bride, groom and their guests were seated for the wedding breakfast I couldn’t stop myself from exploring Hodstock Priory surroundings. After the meal, speeches took place and I must say here that the best man speech was awesome. It was genuine, funny and yet sang in a witty way. Before the sun dropped behind the horizon we took some bride and groom photos in the venue grounds.
Robbie and Helen picked very talented music band for the evening. Watching them play was entertaining and I can honestly say that it was the best wedding band I have ever seen! They are called The Hound Dogs and I can recommend them with confidence, I am sure that nobody has ever regretted booking them. Below is the selection of photos from Robie and Helen’s Hodsock Priory wedding.
